The release window for “Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest” is finally here after three long years since it was first announced back in September 2021. The much awaited Fairy Tail sequel anime written by Hiro Mashima and illustrated by Atsuo Ueda, is set an official release window of July 2024.
Who is working on this Project?
The official website confirms that “The Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest” animation production is going to be overseen by the J.C.STAFF studio and the anime will be released sometime around July 2024. Shinji Ishihara will be returning from the Fairy Tail anime to serve as chief director for the sequel alongside Toshinori Watanabe directing for J.C. Staff. Atsuhiro Tomioka will be overseeing the scripts, Yurika Sako will be handling character designs, and Yasuharu Takanashi will be composing the music. The trio of Ishihira, Watanabe and Yurika Sato represent a very similar team to manga series creator Hiro Mashima’s most recent anime adaptation, Edens Zero Season 2.
The anime’s 30-second teaser trailer was released on 12 March 2024. The teaser features the five main characters Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet, and Wendy Marvell.

This sequel of Fairy Tail written and storyboarded by the original creator Hiro Mashima, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest has been serialized on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket manga app since July 2018.
What about the Voice Actors?
It was also confirmed that the original voice actors for the main characters are going to reprise their roles in the upcoming sequel.
